1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including your email address and password when you create an account. We also collect medication information you choose to add to your My Med History feature, and usage data such as which medications and conditions you search for.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to provide and improve our service, process your subscription payments, send you account-related emails such as confirmation and password reset emails, and to personalise your experience within the app.
3. My Med History data
Any medication information you add to My Med History is stored securely and is only accessible by you. We do not share this data with any third parties. This data is self-reported and is not a medical record.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate our service, including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), and Vercel (hosting). All providers are bound by data processing agreements.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised usage data may be retained for analytical purposes.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission, secure password hashing, and row-level security on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. For other data requests, please contact us at support@askmedily.com.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the service.
9. Age requirement
AskMedily is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to use this service. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will immediately delete their account and data.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
